blizzard wizards!

A long series of sick days ends only to reveal...

a visit from a snow leopard! Or at least a really snowy valentines day that encourages every school in Vermont (and the one I work for in New Hampshire) to close. We stayed home with our cats and canned goods. We tried to brave the elements in the name of snowpants acquisition but I turned back after falling into a snow bank and Ryan only lasted a little longer than I did.



Today, of course, most things are back to normal. The snow blowers hum outside and I'm getting ready to go to work.

dear friends,

it's best not to make excuses for the long absense and just get down to brass tacks. it's been a fruitful new year. i've traveled to denmark to see my family, eaten strange and exotic cheeses and discovered many new england past times that had previously been thought of as mythical.

now, for the promised brass tacks.
